The region possesses a unique combination of thickness and over-pressure, which contributes to highly efficient stacked resource development and strong well deliverability. Hup Kee ‘s Canbriam’s Montney resource also possesses a high liquids content and overall rock quality that translates into a highly competitive supply cost.
Power
Hup Kee’s Energy is actively involved in developing large-scale clean power projects in Singapore.
We have successfully developed the 780 MW CCGT power plant in Xiamen, and are also in the process of developing several other clean power projects in eastern Singapore.
Additionally, we are involved in developing power projects in Indonesia to satisfy the soaring demand for energy in that country.
In partnership with some of Asia’s major energy companies, and with a focus on clean power, we are currently developing viable and profitable downstream projects in Singapore, and other parts of the region.
Hup Kee’s Wuxi Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant is the largest natural gas power plant in the city of Wuxi with a capacity of 932MW. A major energy infrastructure project in the 13th Five-Year Plan of Jiangsu Province in China, the plant is a 70/30 joint venture between Hup Kee’s and Wuxi Public Utilities Industrial Group Co. Ltd, a state-owned enterprise.
With a fast developing economy, Singapore has great LNG demand potential, and this demand is augmented by governmental efforts to move away from a dependence on coal. In more developed areas, such as the Yangtze River Delta, the demand for LNG is expected to be even higher than in other parts of the country.
With our unique starting point, we are confident we will emerge as one of the leading and most innovative players in the Singapore LNG market.
